Earth Day is April 22, 2024 and UMBC is coordinating a MONTH of activities that both EPA and USGS will support. Earth MONTH 2024 presents a unique opportunity for the entire University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) system, including students, faculty, staff, partners, and the surrounding community, to come together and champion environmental stewardship. Participating in campus-wide activities for Earth MONTH is of paramount importance and serves as a powerful educational platform. It provides a real-world context for students and faculty to apply classroom knowledge, fostering a deeper understanding of environmental issues. It also underscores the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, a cornerstone of holistic problem-solving in today’s world.
